Affiliations
Great Pacific Securities is involved in securities brokerage services
and municipal bond underwriting to a diverse institutional client base.
We are affiliated with A.B. Laffer and Associates, who provide us with
an outlook on the direction of interest rates, the political climate,
and the general state of the economy. Dr. Laffer, the founder and
Chairman of A.B. Laffer and Associates, is the father of supply side

Strengths of the Firm
Service includes careful evaluation of the portfolio as a whole. Using
proprietary computer programs, this evaluation insures that the client
is not adversely overexposed in duration or to any one sector of
market. Each trader on our desk specializes in a distinct discipline.
The Agency Desk is our highest volume desk. We experience a tremendous
flow of product in maturities of five-years and shorter. Due to this
flow, we are particularly strong in the evaluation of Agencies and
finding value in this sector. Additional areas of strength include,
Corporates, U.S. Treasuries, and Mortgaged Backed Securities.
Great Pacific Securities is the only DVBE included in all the major
underwriter pools in the State of California. This inclusion as an
underwriter has lead to the expansion and strength of the municipal
desk to include issues from many states.
